Music Monday: Matt & Kim.

This weeks MM is about two singers named Matt & Kim. They're an indie pop duo from Brooklyn. An old friend had shown them to me back in middle school. Their music always makes me happy, it's so upbeat and peppy. I like their older music better, but their newer songs are still pretty good. They look like they have so much fun on stage.

My all time favorite songs by them are Good Ol' Fashioned Nightmare and Lessons Learned. Whenever I listen to them I just want to get up and dance everywhere, they put me in a great mood. I hope you guys enjoy them :) Happy Monday! xoxo

11 Things!

The other day I was reading Susannah Bean's blog and saw that she had an 11 things post. It looked kinda fun so I thought I'd give it a try.

These are the five rules:
1. Post these rules.
2. Post a photo of yourself and 11 random things.
3. Answer the questions set for you in the original post.
4. Create 11 new questions and tag people to answer them.
5. Go to their blog/twitter and tell them you've tagged them.

11 Things...

1. I'm fascinated by tattoos/piercings/body modifications. I like to hear the stories behind people's tattoos.

2. I would much rather do everything barefoot. I barely ever wear shoes during the summer.

3. My two pointer fingers curve out way more than they probably should.

4. My left foot curves in when I walk, not my right, just the left. I've been doing it since I was little.

5. I hate ketchup and mustard. The smells make me sick.

6. I would rather spend a night with my whole family than go out with some friends. I love them dearly.

7. I have a huge love for animals.

8. I love making and decorating cupcakes, but I don't like eating them. I'm not much of a cake person.

9. I like making other people happy before myself. I love shopping for presents.

10. I've always wanted my own pet cow named Daisy. Silly, I know, but I love cows.

11. Corgis have got to be the cutest dogs that have roamed the planet.

Here are the questions Susannah left on her blog:

1. Who is your celebrity crush?
Oliver Sykes! He's the vocalist for the band Bring Me The Horizon, I've been obsessing over him since the 7th grade. A fine man he is.

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
All sorts of things. I went from photographer to wedding planner to fashion designer. Now I've got my heart set on pastry chef.

3. What's your favorite flower?
This is a hard one. It'd be either a Lotus or Poppies.

4. If you could only drink one thing for the rest of your life, besides water, what would it be?
Probably my grandma's half and half. Half tea and half lemonade. I don't know what she does to it, but it's the best.

5. Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes, I do. Just because of all the scary movies I've watched that have filled my head with non sense.

6. What's your favorite meal at your favorite restaurant?
Chicken Fingers with a small cup of cream of cauliflower soup on the side from Rosewood.

7. What was your favorite cartoon as a kid?
Definitely Power Puff Girls, haha.

8. What's your favorite thing to wear from your closet?
My navy blue, floral dress that I got for my birthday last year.

9. If you could wake up tomorrow with the knowledge and the ability to do something you can't do now, what would it be?
Web designing. I never quite understood most HTML, but I wish I could.

10. What's your favorite song of all time?
I don't really have one, but for some reason I've been listening to Beyonce a lot. I have Check On It on repeat, haha. Don't judge me!

11. What's an annoying habit or quirk of yours that people probably don't know about?
I put everything off until the very last second. I hate doing it, but watevs~

Here are my 11 Questions:

1. What is your biggest fear?
2. If you could get rid of one thing from your life, what would it be?
3. Who is your inspiration and why?
4. What's your favorite thing to snack on?
5. What is one of your pet peeves?
6.How did you come up with the name of your blog?
7. What is your #1 goal in life?
8. What is your definition of success?
9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
10. What is your current obsession?
11. Which social networking site do you like and dislike the most?

I'm going to tag my best friend David from stayundermyskin.blogspot.com. Also anyone else who would like to give this a go. Have fun!

Things I Love Thursday!

This week has been going by pretty slow. Maybe it's because I have the same daily routine. The weather has been amazing though! I went shopping for my best friend's birthday presents yesterday, I'd share what I bought but he reads my blog (; I already gave him one of three gifts, it was a Marilyn Monroe blanket that he had wanted. Anyways, here's what makes me happy this week.

This summery 'Tidal Cool' dress from Modcloth.
This adorable Hello Kitty phone cover.
 My new favorite TV show!
 Spongebob Squarepants & Patrick cookies!
 This incredibly beautiful bed.
 Pretty cupcakes.
 So true.
 This funny window sticker.
This Sparkling Chandelier.
 This gorgeous dress.
 This sweet little kitten.
This funny 'YOLO' spoof.

What do you love this week?

Music Monday: Fun.

This week's MM was discovered last week on my way home from a friend's house. I was listening to the radio and the song We Are Young came on, at first I was a little iffy on it but then it got to the chorus and really started getting into it. It's by a band called Fun. They're an american indie pop band from New York City. They're a little different, and I like it. One of my former friends was really into them and always told me to go listen to them but I never took the time to, but now I love them.

Photo Dump

These past two weeks have been really good. I've had a lot on my schedule. This month is going to be an exciting one too! My best friend's birthday is on the 20th & my spring break starts on the 23rd. I'll be spending my spring break in Atlanta, GA with family, my best friend, and his boyfriend. Anywho, here are some pictures of what I've been doing these past two weeks :)

Made, stacked, & served 1,000 kabobs. (with help of course)
 Catering at Valparaiso University
Got Black Poppy on sale for $10 @ Pacsun!
Bubble baths + Huckleberry Finn (which will honestly be the death of me)
Cupcake decorating in Vocational! (Not really all that, but it was my first time using buttercream)
 & another.
Homemade pizza with homemade cheese! (which was not easy, trust me)
Cute Cuddles falling asleep with his legs in the air :)
 Pretty Chicago lights.
Matt + I in the elevator of his apartment building.
The adorable shoes that I seriously almost bought today at Akira.
Matt + David at Santullos.

Sweet pineapple chunks + hot tea. (Which is what I'm eating/drinking right now)
My doggy with a heart balloon tied to his collar :)
& of course, my best friend and I in his boyfriend's apartment.

I also got a cute grey cardigan with white polka dots from Forever 21 on sale for $12. Before we left Chicago Matt took David and I to a small pizza shop that had the biggest pizza slices ever! I mean these bad boys were HUGE. I wish I would've taken a picture for y'all. If any of you live around Chicago, you definitely check out Santullos in Wicker Park. They have the best pizza!

This week/weekend has been really good to me and I can't wait for the rest of this month!

What did you do this weekend?

P.S. I finally found my prom dress! I have to order it but I'll post pictures later on!

Thing I Love Thursday!

I was thinking today and thought about trying something else for the blog. I'm going to start doing Things I Love Thursday. It's where I post pictures or links to the things I love this week. Not original, I know, but just something to do.

This Hello Kitty mouse and mousepad
 This Rose Sweater
This pretty picture of Audrey Kitching.
 This beautiful floral dress.
 This Silly Kitty
 This cute, fluffy cat!
 This Freddy Kruger cake
These GORGEOUS curls.

All these things make me happy. Right now I'm with my best friend waiting for my grandparents to go to bed so we can go watch Jersey Shore. Pretty fun day spent laughing with friends. Happy Thursday! xoxo

Music Monday: The Postal Service.

This week's MM is about a man named Ben Gibbard. He's in a small group called The Postal Service, and he's also the vocalist of the band Death Cab For Cutie. The Postal Service is a little Electronic Indie Pop band with the sweetest songs. A former friend had shown them to me in middle school, and I had completely forgot about them until the other day. His music makes me so happy when I listen to it.

My favorites are This Place Is A Prison & Such Great Heights. If you like Death Cab for Cutie, I think you'll like The Postal Service. And if you don't know who Death Cab for Cutie is but you like The Postal Service, then you should definitely check them out! Hope you guys enjoy! Happy Monday, xoxo
